Belmont Village Lakeway opens

The much-anticipated Belmont Village Senior Living Lakeway opened with plenty of fanfare this weekend, with more than 400 people in attendance and remarks by State Rep. Paul Workman and Lakeway’s new Mayor Sandy Cox.

Belmont Village Lakeway offers options for independent living, assisted living and an acclaimed memory care program, all in a 130,000 square foot Mediterranean-style building on 10 wooded acres offering studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a professionally managed fitness center, heated saltwater pool, full service salon, movie screening room, chef-prepared dining, housekeeping and transportation services, and courtyards with outdoor dining patios and gardens.

The Austin area has the second-fastest senior population in the country, and demand for quality senior living is very high. Lakeway is especially ideal for Belmont’s new location, with longtime residents looking to downsize, and families who want aging parents to be near them.

This is Houston-based Belmont’s 28th community, its fifth in Texas and second in the Austin area; Belmont Village West Lake Hills, opened in 2014.

“We’re excited to be expanding our footprint in Austin, and very pleased to be able to provide another much-needed, top-quality option for area residents,” says Patricia Will, Belmont Village founder and CEO.

In addition to expansive common areas and high-end hospitality services, Belmont Village communities provide a Whole Brain Fitness lifestyle, with a range of enrichment programs to help maintain physical and mental acuity at all levels. Residents with early to moderate memory loss benefit from Belmont Village’s award-winning Circle of Friends® program, and residents with later stage loss from its dedicated Person-Centered Living® program, which includes a full daily calendar of activities.

Each Belmont Village community is purpose-built and licensed to provide the highest level of care throughout the building, offering flexibility for residents if their needs change, and allowing couples with differing needs to stay together. A licensed nurse is on-site 24/7.

“We design our programs in much the same way that we design our buildings,” Will says. “We integrate the latest research available, and translate that into fun, engaging programs that support our residents’ own goals of living full, purposeful lives at every stage. Our job is to provide the right care and support to help our residents enjoy their full potential.”
